Happy New Year and best wishes to all for a great training year!
My training is going well for the nationals. Here’s a link, if anyone
is interested. I posted my bio there along with a very frigtening
deadlift photo
http://fletchershouseofpower.com/usaplwomensnationals/home.html
Tried my new metal bench shirt for the first time and had great
success. Your recommendation of wetting down the shirt worked well Kris
(except for the coooold dicomfort). It is an extremely tight fit, but I
was able to bring the bar down to my chest with 75 pounds. The groove
of the shirt had me bringing the bar down higher on my chest than I’m
used to.
Good luck to all you virtual lifters. What is it 5 or 6 training weeks left?

Theresa, took a look at your bio. After seeing the deadlifting video you sent me and that picture, I am indeed left with a very strong impression that you have what it takes to deadlift HUGE. Very impressive merits as well!
Happy to hear that the Metal Militia wetting-the-shirt thing helped out. Am
impressed that you got it down with “only” 75 pounds, hopefully that
means that you should have no problems getting your regular weights
down to touch with a dry shirt. If you haven’t seen it, Sebastian
Burns’s Advanced Bench Press Training DVD covers wetting the shirt and getting the shirt to touch at great length.
We are now barely six weeks out from the virtual meet on February 9th-11th; for me that means four more training weeks and one week of rest before showdown. Those of you taking part will be receiving an e-mail within the next few days with further details.
